“For this
reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the
whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according
to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in
the inner man.” Ephesians 3:14-16
This prayer in Ephesians 3:14-16 is evidently God’s will for you; He wants you fortified with divine energy in your spirit. If this is so, you should respond by saying, “Thank you, heavenly Father, for strengthening me with might in my inner man by your Holy Spirit!”
Learn to
make this declaration about yourself all the time, that you’re strengthened
from within and invigorated with miracle-working ability. That means that your
abilities are unlimited, and nothing is impossible for you to accomplish,
because you’re sufficient in God’s sufficiency (2 Corinthians 3:5).
Be bold to
say like Paul, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”
(Philippians 4:13). You may ask, “Pastor Chris, what if I feel weak inside?”
That’s the more reason you must continually say, “God has granted me (call your
name), according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by
His Spirit in my inner man.” Having made this declaration, don’t wait for an
outward sign; simply receive it and begin to function with the consciousness of
one who has been strengthened. That’s how you take advantage of God’s
provisions in the Gospel for your benefit.
